Today we watched The Color Purple. I have seen this movie a thousand time before but i never read the book. I would rather watch the movie  than the reading the book because the book was a little boring. It is a good book but its just a slow read.

 There are many similiarities between the book and the movie. The  first half of the movie is almost exactly word for word to the book. Things that are  different  are the things I don’t remember like when Shug goes to see her father during the church service .

Celie is forced into her journey by her father when she was younger. She was forced to marry Mr. and he beats her. Celie has very low self esteem and is  unable to fight back. She does what ever any body tell her to do. When Shug came things changed for celie.Shug and Celie both teach each ohter many things.
